Permanent magnet motors can maintain high efficiency and power factor throughout the power range, and energy-saving modification of asynchronous motors with permanent magnets is an inevitable trend.

Application field:
At present, loads with large fluctuations such as fans, water pumps, crushers, air compressors, and ceramic polishing machines mostly use traditional high-energy-consuming Y or Y2 series asynchronous motor drives, resulting in low system efficiency and high operating costs. The efficiency and power factor of permanent magnet motors can be maintained at a high level in the full power range, and energy-saving transformation of asynchronous motors with permanent magnets is an inevitable trend.

 

Energy-saving technical transformation plan:
If the load runs at a constant speed and there is no room for speed reduction, the original asynchronous motor can be replaced with a self-starting permanent magnet motor, which has good synchronism and does not require additional inverters, which can reduce procurement costs. If the load has room for speed reduction, it can be transformed into a variable frequency permanent magnet motor to improve system efficiency. The permanent magnet motor can be a new motor or the original asynchronous motor can be transformed into a permanent magnet motor.

 

Advantages of permanent magnet motor:
● Permanent magnet motors have higher efficiency and power factor than asynchronous motors, meeting the IE4 (Level 1) energy efficiency standard, and can maintain a high level in the 20%~120% load range. The comprehensive energy-saving effect is obvious. The energy-saving principle is shown in the figure below. The comprehensive power saving rate of the motor body is about 5%~10%, and the comprehensive power saving rate of the system can reach 10%-30%.
